Produits d'infrastructure cloud IT : un marché en hausse
Selon IDC les ventes de produits d'infrastructure cloud (serveur, stockage, switch, etc.) ont progressé de 9,2% par rapport à l'an dernier à 32,6 milliards de dollars. Rien qu'au 4ème trimestre, la croissance était de 7,3% avec 9,2 milliards de dollars de revenus. 

Les ventes de produits d'infrastructure pour le cloud privé ont, en effet, progressé de 10,2% à 3,8 milliards de dollars dopées par les ventes de switches Ethernet (+52,7%), suivi par les serveurs (+9,3%) et le stockage (+3,6%). Du côté, du cloud public, les ventes ont aussi progressé, de 5,3% à 5,4 milliards de dollars avec, là encore, un bond des switches Ethernet (+30%), suivi des serveurs (+2,4%), alors que le stockage a fléchi de 2,1%. 

Á travers le monde, c'est au Japon que la croissance des ventes a été la plus forte (+42,3%), suivi de la zone MEA (+33,6%), du Canada (+16%) et de l'Europe de l'Ouest (+15,6%).

Côté fournisseurs, Dell domine le marché avec 1,58 milliard de dollars de revenus (-3,5%) et 17,3% de parts de marché, suivi de HPE (H3C Group) avec 1,34 milliard de dollars de revenus (-3%) et 14,6% de parts de marché, et de Cisco avec 1,03 milliard de dollars de revenus (+23,1%) et 11,3% de parts de marché. Viennent ensuite Huawei avec 416 millions de dollars de revenus (+61,4%), mais seulement 4,5% de parts de marché, puis IBM, Lenovo et NetApp.

IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Cloud IT Infrastructure Tracker is designed to provide clients with a better understanding of what portion of the server, disk storage systems, and networking hardware markets are being deployed in cloud environments. This tracker will break out vendors' revenue by the hardware technology market into public and private cloud environments for historical data and provide a five-year forecast by the technology market.
